Abstract

The article analyses contact interaction of steel balls with processed surfaces of workpieces during dimensional reinforcement finishing process in containers with planetary rotation. 3D model of surface roughness has been defined, which allows us to evaluate roughness parameters and reinforcement depth of the surface layer. The researchers have worked out a pattern for determining process cycles and conditions of centrifugal machining, which ensure required parameters of surface roughness and reinforcement depth for different workpiece materials.

Key words

surface roughness, simulation, hardening, contact interaction, working load.
